Mayors fate decided in San Francisco court ruling

The San Francisco case ruled in favor of Dr. B. Taylor against Eugene B. Schmite, declaring Taylor mayor in fact though not de jure. A crowd gathered in a Salvation Army barracks as the high court handed down its opinion, with Chief Justice Beatty presiding. Kathleen Magee wed George Horton in Moscow in a quiet ceremony followed by a dinner and extended honeymoon plans. The Forest Service allocated 200 dollars for trail work from Coeur d’Alene to the Little North Fork to aid forestry guards and prevent unauthorized logging.
