Land Title Quieting Suit Over St Joe Tract Across River

A district court action in Mathdrum seeks to quiet title to a 300 by 300 foot riverfront tract opposite the St Joe hotel. J R Glover and wife once deeded the land to Birdie E Wright and husband and Lawrence Maloney on condition of $3,000 in improvements to create a townsite. the improvements were not completed. The Chicago Milwaukee St Paul railroad later acquired deeds via agents Flewelling and Fralick and now claims under the deed. Glover contends Wright and Maloney failed to meet the contract, seeks title quieted in him and a temporary restraining order until further litigation. The land lies in the new town of Bt Joe, fronts water, and is valued around $4,500, likely to become mill site.

Arkansas stranger seeks Sprague Avenue in Coeur d Alene

A visitor from Arkansas arrived by boat and wandered to Sherman street before asking for Sprague Avenue. He searched the Wiggott block and Keller and Duellmore’s for the street, realizing he was in Coeur d Alene and mistook the city for Spokane. He remarked that Coeur d Alene might rival Spokane in bustle.

Logging Train Photo Captures 1 Million Feet Of Logs On Line
