Clayton is in the hands of the Shriners today as more than 500 visitors gather for the occasion. A class of at least seventy five entrants competes for a $250 ring awarded to the most popular candidate while camels milk dates and figs are promised for the novice. The parade begins at 11 o clock with business halted to share in the event.
