Robert Davis Dies in Tank Explosion at Texline Garage

Robert Davis died Friday morning at Strogaph hospital from injuries in a tank explosion at the Haines garage in Texline Tuesday evening. Davis, a mechanic with the Texline garage, was crushed when a tank vent cap failed under pressure. He had lived in Greenvine and Clayton County before. an Odd Fellows member, he was esteemed as a skilled carpenter and friend to many. Funeral arrangements will be handled by the Odd Fellows lodge.

Federal aid roads announced for Union and San Miguel counties

Highway Engineer Gillett announced six federal aid road projects in Union and San Miguel counties.
