Mrs. George Turnbo of Dallas has leased the Rives studio and took charge Tuesday. Harold Rives said his family will travel to Cheoley Golo next Sunday to visit Mrs. Rives' parents and may not return to studio work due to health.
Rev. J Clyde Keegom arrives as pastor of the Methodist Church in Graytor with pastorship in Anton noted. He strengthens church organization and membership, receives favorable sermons, and plans for gymnasium, basketball, and nightly youth athletics programs at the newly erected building.
The Epworth League at the town church has been reorganized with strong youth support. Rev Keegan will preach in the morning on Our Civilization as a Liability and in the evening discuss What the World Owes Me and What I Owe the World. Ms Richand A Toomey leads the Epworth League session How we can Practice the Golden Rule Today.
The Young People class at the Christian Church led by H. H. Beret went to a watermelon patch near Lawn last Monday night. Three cars carried seventeen youths to Me. Backer’s patch where they freely gathered melons and ate heartily. They returned to town about nine, reporting a fine time and lively spirits for future outings.
Washington reports the Knights of Saint Order show a notable gain in individual membership and lodge numbers for 1920. Officials expect the next annual gathering to reflect another gratifying increase in overall participation.
