Let Her Go Gallagher Horse Wins Close Tipton Race
Judge Beaver of Morgan county Kentucky prided a trotting mare named Let Her Go. Gallagher city curator of Harrodsburg trained the horse. In Tipton county a fast trotter entered to race and the pair finished neck and neck at a 2 40 pace as the crowd urged Let her go.

Mrs. John F. Wolford Pioneer dies in New Mexico city
Mrs. John F. Wolford born Manuelita Mares in Taos in 1846 died at home in the city at 1 00 am on April 28 192? Funeral services were held at the home with Rev R S Dunn of the Methodist church officiating. She left seventeen children nine surviving with forty seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The Wolford family settled in Union county in 1880 and contributed prominently to local affairs. One obituary tribute called her a grand lady and great mother.

Anniversary of the Indigent Order Gil Yellows Celebrated
The 96th anniversary event was held Thursday evening April 29 with over two hundred members and guests. County Superintendent H. H. Errett delivered the principal address on the order’s history and accomplishments. Music and vocal selections pleased attendees. A grand banquet preceded dancing as the main entertainment.

Tranquilino Garcia Pioneer Stockman Dies at Clapham
Tranquilino Garcia a well known pioneer stockman died at his home near Clapham on Wednesday night April 2. The remains were interred at Clapham. He had been in feeble health for several years and had grown steadily worse for months. His death, though not unexpected, was a great shock to friends.
