Holiday window displays brighten Clayton shops

Clayton store windows gleam with festive electrical devices and candy scenes. Clayton High School Receives Tentative Accreditation

Clayton High School remains tentatively accredited by the state board due to staffing and equipment limits. Students graduating with superintendent recommendations may enter the University of California without entrance exams. Officer and Prisoner Marooned in Kansas Chase

The pursuit of John Hook, alleged bad-check builder dating from October 6, ended with Hook's arrest at Maple Hill Kansas. Sheriff Crumley delayed returning to obtain requisition papers from Santa Fe after an error. A reported bad check was drawn at the Eklund hotel for 5 dollars with no funds. Dave Shuitz of Wanette visited the city Thursday.
