Home Economics Club Deterred by Wind Plans April Meeting

High wind kept attendance low Saturday and the program was not given. It will be presented at the next regular meeting on April 8 at Mrs. Paddock's home. Members should bring a plan for an ideal kitchen and a sample of their favorite cookies. A social hour follows. All interested invited.

Last Saturday N G Mauser Signs Loomia Lease in Cheyenne OK

N G Mauser of Cheyenne Oklahoma signed a lease for the Loomia restaurant building with Elmer Farr. The building will be moved to a central location for Mauser to operate a general merchandise stock. Lawyer W H Mauser of Cheyenne plans to relocate and hang out his shingle in Des Moines about April 15. The county attorney of Roger Mills after statehood, he brings strong Oklahoma ties and aims to draw business to the new Foothills home city. Swastika notes welcome the Mausers to the Queen City of the Foothills and praise their potential to develop the country.

Deadly Accident Shocks Springfield Family

R. G. Cotton reports the accidental shooting of Bob Cotton on Wednesday night. After returning home late, a gun in his pocket discharged when the door closed, resulting in a fatal injury as the weapon struck the floor.

UNM Announces 1916 Commencement Speakers

President David R. Boyd announced the 1916 commencement program at the University of New Mexico. Key speakers include Hon. W. Reid of Albuquerque and Roswell for the commencement address and Rev. Father A. M. Mandalari S. G. of Immaculate Conception Parish Albuquerque for the baccalaureate sermon. Exercises are set for the second week of May. Reid, a noted educational advocate, may select his own subject.
