Pastor J W Zerbe announces morning services at 10 30 with Sunday School at 11 30 and no evening preaching due to the Avon county convention. Planned events include Autumn Decision Day October 3 and World Temperance Sunday October 31 plus anniversaries and Bible Sunday on November 28. Rev Wm R Scott to preach at Presbyterian Church next Sunday with Sunday School at 11 45 and Y P S C E at 7.
The Home Coming Committee led by Mrs. Ida Sweet and including Mrs. Mary Cass Mrs. Bertha Fiedler and Mrs. Cora Moore saw fruitful results last Sunday at the Methodist Church. Services all day and a lawn dinner honored former pastors M E Nickerson and A S Loveaul. Choir from 15 states rendered hymns and greetings came from past ministers and members across many states. The warm weather aided late corn to mature and promises above average yields.

Notice announces a special election in Scotland South Dakota on September 28 1920 to decide if bonds up to 45000 dollars may be issued for twenty years at up to six percent to raise funds for extending the city mains. The bonds may be paid in ten years from issue and annual interest is payable. The measure seeks to finance the costs of extending the city water mains in Scotland.
Voters in Scotland Bon Homme South Dakota will decide on bonds with two options read on the ballot. Polls open 8 am to 5 pm with ward sites at City Hall Behl s Tin Shop and City Pumping Station in Scotland. Dated September 7 1920 and signed by Mayor Jasman and Auditor Hansen.
At an adjourned meeting held September 7 1920 the Scotland South Dakota City Council moved to extend water mains and borrow 45000 dollars in five hundred and one thousand dollar bonds for twenty years at six percent. A special election was set for September 28 1920 with ballots marked For the Issuing of Bonds or Against the Issuing of Bonds. Audience included Mayor Robert Jaeman and five aldermen.
