Augie Hermann substituted in the Third grade. Miss East was under the weather. Students discussed a Friday night program March 18 at the High school assembly for the First and Second grades to raise receipts for the Athletic association. Teachers travelled to Sioux City and other towns for the weekend. A high school assembly room improvement was completed with a larger platform. The Tripp High School visitors joined the High school Thursday. Junior and Freshman classes hosted gatherings with costumes and a hard times party. Civics plans a fictitious court and shorthand class translates Sleepy Hollow while speed tests show progress.

Carpenter Falls 35 Feet At Carl Maehmel Farm
Lyman Kizer, a carpenter, fell 35 feet while repairing a barn roof on the Carl Maehmel farm. He sustained two broken ribs and internal injuries, with doctors attending and reports of potential seriousness. A Post Theatre: hypnotic shows under American Legion auspices at the Opera House tonight tomorrow and Saturday with nightly changes and dances afterward. Admission 28 and 5 cents.

Warrants issued for Anton Kolwenski the farmer after a suicide attempt. He was taken from Berry hospital to the county jail at Tyndall.
