First Chautauqua in Beotland Impresses Few at Start
Beotland hosted its inaugural five day Chautauqua under the Redpath-Vawter system. Despite slow ticket sales at first, the later sessions drew near full tents as high quality acts and courteous bureau representatives built strong enthusiasm. Notable addresses by Fred J. Clarke and Dr. Hopkins, plus acts by Anitas Singing Orchestra and the Drexler-Fox Co, helped conclude the event on a high note.
