Arthur Cavanaugh of Albuquerque long known across New Mexico and neighboring states died after an appendicitis operation led to peritonitis. He was 36, survived by wife Nell Ball and four children, plus five sisters and a brother. A noted comedian and dialect storyteller, he led the Albuquerque Browns and was active in Elks. Funeral services were held with Las Vegas Ledge of Elka in charge.

James M Howe Injured When Horse Falls on Him
James M Howe who lives near Sanches in the east end of San Miguel county was crushed by a horse that fell on him last week. He dislocated his right shoulder and strained arm muscles. Son of the city marshal, he sought medical treatment here last Friday and has since returned home much improved.
