The Friends of Dr E J Pring in this and Mora counties regret the Tu cumcari News report that he is compelled to retire from practice because of poor eyesight. He served at Fort Union starting in 1886 as assistant surgeon until its abandonment, then moved to Watrous where he remained for years since the town’s founding.

Cimarron Swastikas split a weekend doubleheader with the Albuquerque Browns. Saturday Cimarron won 11 to 2 behind Crable and Dove four for five at bat. Sunday Albuquerque edged Cimarron 3 to 1 as Lockhart held strong with seven strikeouts and two timely hits.

Death of Thomas Fisher Pioneer and Ex-County Commissioner
Thomas Fisher of Cimarron and vicinity died last Saturday night in East Raton after a brief typhoid illness. He was 39, a Mora county native, and served two terms as county commissioner in the early 1890s. He leaves a widow and several children. Funeral services were held Monday at San Jose church in East Raton.
