Neosho County Delegation Returns From State Convention
Neosho county boys attended the Wichita state convention and came home sober and high in spirits. Seth Wells was nominated for auditor with the remaining ticket favored by the delegation. Notable attendees included Senator Burton, Gov. Stanley, Charley Scott who drew acclaim for congressman at large, and Chester I. Long whose Cuban questions drew loud applause. The convention praised Bailey on the first ballot and endorsed the strong ticket. Memorial Day observances followed with a G A R program, cannon salute, and tributes to the Unknown Dead. Also noted are oil company activity and development in the region, plus updates on local candidates and a public notice about W. E. Craig for County Superintendent.
