A. Montgomery traveled to Carlsband Pris Creed and W. Larremore went to Artesia Priday, returning Wednesday. De. McPherson remains ill with la grippe. Mr. McEloy moved to a tent this week, J. T. McEiroy plans cement-block house east of the railroad track. Mrs. M. Livingston and Anna Floyd drove to Lavington’s ranch Wednesday. Miss Leah Bo Hutchison visited Carlsbad. JT. Sanford to begin dwelling erection on the west side soon. Mr. and Mrs. Hartshorn went to Carlsbad Tuesday, returned Wednesday. Box supper last Saturday raised 35 dollars. Spencer Faville of Lookout bought farm supplies in town Wednesday. CoH. Billings went to Carlsbad Monday and is ill in the hospital with typhoid.
The Water Users met on Tuesday and the secretary reported 148 applications for water rights covering FONT acres. Progress on land rule noted with 70 acres reported since year start. A letter from the Secretary of the Diterior granting water to Tands was read and parties were notified. Each application to be acted upon on its merit. Board adjourned after routine business.
