House Joint Resolution No. 10 seeks to amend section six of article eighteen of Idaho’s constitution to permit county assessors and tax collectors to employ deputies and clerical help as needed. The measure sets the election question for the next general election and directs publication in every county for six weeks.
Constitutional Amendment II proposes repealing parts of Article V and Article XVIII and replacing them with a district court system in every county. It outlines jurisdiction over all probate matters, judge election and salaries, district boundaries, and transition provisions effective January 1911 with publication required in all counties.
The Interior Department contest notice cites Ira B. Monroe of Boise as contestant against homestead entry No. 8967 by Eugene Stanton of Portland. It states land shows no improvements and Stanton never resided there, with a hearing set for October 16, 1908 before the Boise land office officials. Publication is ordered due to lack of personal service.
