Idaho pioneer David McConnel aged 85 died in Boise after weeks of illness. He arrived in Idaho in 1862 and lived in Boise Valley almost continuously, with time spent in Idaho City and on McConnel's island. Funeral services by Dr. J W Boone will be held at the Methodist church at 2:30 this afternoon. burial in Canyon Hill cemetery. Survived by five Idaho residents: Fred, Merve, Mrs. Joe Watkins, Mrs. J L Isenburg, and Miss Margaret McConnel.
