Masons Elect Officers In Idaho Grand Lodge Session

First Life Lost on Boise Interurban Tragedy

Ward Brown, a 20s resident of Star area, was killed Sunday evening in Boise while attempting to board an Interurban car. His body was found near the track with a crushed skull, and a witness reported he jumped on the car at the spot. Police and witnesses note he likely slipped and was struck or crushed by a wheel or tie corner during the attempt. He left behind several siblings in the Star vicinity.

Charles Bruneau Arrested for False Pretenses in Caldwell

Charles Bruneau was arrested Monday and jailed on a charge of receiving money under false pretences. He arrived in Caldwell days ago claiming to fund an opera house and a site was chosen. It is alleged he obtained funds from Jones Brothers while his wife Mrs. Bruneau lies sick at the Caldwell hotel.
