French says Harding unbossed and teaches youth patriotism
University of Mano at Moscow June 4 Representative Bar on L French of Idaho told teachers at the summer session of the University of Idaho to educate children to trust government, value public service, and believe in the honesty of lawmakers. He defended the Chicago Republican convention as not controlled by bosses and praised Harding as acceptable to diverse factions. Dr JH McLainwhite plans a monthlong trip to Los Angeles for the occasion.

Adventist Idaho Conference camp meeting to open Thursday
The Idaho Conference Seventh day Adventists begin a week long camp meeting on the Gett State Academy grounds near Indiana venue. Expected attendance surpasses 1000 with nearly 100 family tents and both academy dormitories in use. The program runs from 6 30 am to evening lectures with notable speakers from Washington Oklahoma and beyond and visitors welcome.

Caldwell to Begin Drainage Plan With Coop Effort
Caldwell moves toward forming a drainage district with the Pioneer Irrigation District and the U S Reclamation Service. Black Canyon Irrigation Project to Resume August
Payette-Buies project director Tom J. Busi reports unit one of Black Canyon will restart work in August, aiming to complete irrigation canals by fall. About 50 percent of irrigation works are done, with the Boise River crossing finished. funds halted last fall delayed progress. Additional funding will come from canal revenues and oil-season sources as work continues north of the river. About 160 acres remain unpatented awaiting water. Martha Tangaird visits Caldwell.

Nichols Recaptures Escaped Convict After Wild Chase
Deputy Hugh Nichols halted a Boise theft car near Homedale to recapture Thomas Algers, an escaped convict from the penitentiary. Algers fled on foot through fields as Nichols pursued, then was identified by a penitentary attache and taken back to Caldwell after an extended chase. Algers escaped June 16 while working in the core held at the penitentiary.
