Miss Cora Johnson went home Thursday after appendix surgery. George Thomas, son of Wm Thomas of Homedale, had appendix abscess surgery Sunday and remains at risk. Wm Kneer left hospital Wednesday to recuperate at his farm. George Parker, long employed at the livery stable, was operated on Sunday. Mrs Roy Myers was admitted Wednesday for treatment. Mrs Professor Kyle and daughter Keith Jewel will return home Friday. Adren Whitha, after appendix abscess surgery, is recovering well.

Choral Club Hosts First Annual Banquet in Old College
Caldwell Choral club members held their first annual banquet in the Old College building marking a year of effort. Decorations featured red and white Indian motifs with a forest scene on stage. Mrs H T French guided the event, Westminster Guild served a dinner, and Mr RW Oaken presided as toastmaster. Toasts praised the chorus, director Arthur Binford, and echoed hopes for a busy season including planned choral works and potential guest soloists.

The First Map of the Entire District Irrigation Effort
In Caldwell on August 12 1900 a meeting of over fifty men formed the Black Canyon Irrigation District to irrigate 103000 acres between the Payette and Boise rivers. The district, organized September 15 1910, will use gravity canals, reservoir storage from Payette Lakes, and a 190 mile main canal with tunnels. Attorneys, engineers, and a board led by Jas B Newport and Walter B Compton mapped surveys and right of way amid railroad conflicts.
