Egg Day event plans aim to draw big crowd at Memorial Park
The second annual Idaho egg day observance is set for Wednesday August 6 with committee chairman Mike Riner and Senator Borah possibly headlining an educational program at Memorial Park. Exhibits from Bolve Payette Lumber Co including poultry houses will be shown along with other poultry producer displays. Ice cream and lemonade will be served as last year. Receipts at the local receiving station have declined due to summer production, while membership in the Idaho Oregon Egg Producers may rise to 65 000. Two cars of eggs were shipped this week as prices stay strong despite recent drops.

Tragic mower accident claims young Robert Nelson
In Pleasant Ridge an accident Sunday afternoon injured two to three year old Robert Nelson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Nelson, as a mower sickle severed his feet. He died early Monday at the sanitarium. Funeral held at Peckham Chapel with burial at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
