Parade at 10 O Clock with Civic Floats and Bands
A morning parade is planned for 10 o clock led by Marshal Frank Howard Taz. The procession includes merchants and factory floats, new autos, farming cars, state cars from Ford, the fire department, The Caldwell Band, and the 116th Service Troop of the W.R.C. plus American Liberty and state floats. The City Council and fraternal floats are also listed.

Parade Fire Drill and Civic Fest Schedule Town Event
In case of fire during the time parade, cars and civilians should stand where the alarm sounds to avoid hindrance. The parade starts near the Methodist church, led by Marshal Frank Howard along Kimball Avenue to Main, along Main Street to the Interurban depot, back to Kimball and to Memorial Park for sports except the ball game. A water fight by the fire department is at noon, with miscellaneous events at 2:30, a ball game Nampa vs Caldwell at 3, fireworks at 9, and a free dance on Kimball Avenue at 10:30 with OCFT Temple activities in the afternoon and evening.

Spectacular Fireworks Cap Off Local Sports Event
A mixed program featured a Nail Driving contest for ladies with six 10 penny nails, a 400 yard race, a pie eating contest for children 12 and under with a $2 top prize, foot races for boys under 11, a distant dash for younger runners, and grand fireworks display ending the night. The program included prizes of 1.00 and 0.50 for various open events and prizes announced for most demonstrations.

Voters Rebuff Five Mill Tax Increase in Caldwell

Death of Mrs. John C. Rice
Mrs. John C. Rice died Saturday at her South Kimball home after a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 o'clock from the Christian church conducted by Rev W J Boone. Burial was in Canyon Hill cemetery. She is survived by her husband five children Elbert Homer Martha Ave Lois Heathcote and Josephine and one grandchild. Born Vandalia Missouri she moved to Caldwell as a child and lived much of her life there later residing in Boise and Portland for health reasons. She was active in church and college work and attended the College of Idaho while her older children were in college.
