Poultry Show in Caldwell Sets Attendance Record
Caldwell's third annual poultry show ends with strong praise from exhibitors and visitors. Attendance rises sharply with nearly 50 percent more birds exhibited, more breeds and classes, and the largest turkey show yet in the United States. About 1900 visitors checked in on Thursday. Wednesday drew a record 2560 for all shows. Ribbons today mark the finale as prize lists near completion.

Alleged Thief is Caught at Weiser
D Zepino Anthony a Cheacho Slovakian was arrested in Weiser and brought to Caldwell. He faces charges of stealing a fine Elgin watch from W H Blunt a Caldwell citizen. The theft was alleged January 4 from Blunt s room at a local rooming house.

Record turkey show shatters attendance and prize totals
The turkey exhibit drew 100 entries with two more added mid show, a record for a U S event. Attendance surged with 1210 visitors Tuesday, boosted by advertising and mild weather. Notable events included a fatal clash between White Orpington rivals and top prizes won by J R Beck and S E Hyde, with Bert Senter earning the sweepstakes medal for a white Plymouth Rock cockerel.

Local club elects McCarthy president at annual meeting
M. McCarthy cashier of the Western National bank was elected president of the Commercial club to succeed Aden Hyde at the annual meeting. He was notified by telephone and hinted at acceptance if assured of strong Caldwell support and active organization. R. T. Hurtt re-elected secretary amid a tight race with W. H. Blunt. New directors include Hyde, Bob Brown, F. L. Crews, Paul Case and Luther Mitchell. A committee was authorized to revise the club constitution.
