Poultry Show Promises Big Event at Local Fairgrounds
The second annual poultry show opens Wednesday in the old Caldwell Traction station building. Exhibits arrive from Oak Grove rabbitry, Shirman Battery Portland, and entries are expected from Tone Wash to Meridian. Local breeders including Rev Cook with Plymouth Rocks and others from Boise and Caldwell will display prized fowl and rabbits. Judge D. W. Bewin presides as entries include Buff Orpingtons White Wyandots and a variety of breeds. A South Idaho poultry expert will assist in selecting layers and evaluating stock. Wade last Friday sold his 40 acre ranch for 11 000 in a large Canyon County sale conducted with Dickens and Bourns.

Influenza Epidemic Wanes In Caldwell Area After Severe Outbreak
The influenza outbreak in Caldwell and surrounding areas is receding with new cases rarer and most patients recovering. About six deaths in the region are attributed to influenza and pneumonia. Doctors, stretched thin, could not visit every case, but many infections were mild with good home care aiding recovery. Weather may have aided spread. local observers expect diminished virility of the disease this year. RA McGee, a watchmaker, joined the Parma Review staff, arriving from Caldwell to work at the jewelry store and plan a move to a new home.
