Alfalfa Seed Crop Prospects In Local Field
J B Moreiana, a prominent local farmer, showed 35 acres of alfalfa seed samples with pods yielding up to 15 seeds. He estimates 10 bushels per acre from the field and credits thorough pre harvest wetting and the new Emerson alfalfa harrow, purchased from Caldwell Forwarding Co, for the promising results. He plans to test it on blue grass sod, believing the implement will pay for itself. J J Walling of Nampa, a Dubois ticket secretary of state candidate, was in town Tuesday on business.
