Death of Bernardus Steunenberg and Knoxville obituary notes
The Knoxville Express carried a long notice on the death at Caldwell Idaho of Bernardus Steunenberg 82. He emigrated from Holland in 1246 and lived in Knoxville for over forty years. Surviving children include Mrs. Brobst and Miss Josie in Knoxville, with many in the west. Funeral services planned at Knoxville with interment in Graceland.

John T. Sebree returned from Jordan Valley with M. M. Brooks of Bozeman Mont. They bought about 1800 head of cattle with twenty five cars to be shipped from Caldwell on the 19th.

College of Idaho Juniors Triumph in Weiser High School Debate
The College of Ida ho juniors staged a day off to persuade Weiser High School against repealing the Fifteenth Amendment. Judges Caldwellites won two to one over the Welshrites with College of Idaho participants Daus Trowbridge and Clements and High School members Bothwell Hitt and Wilkerson. The contest was led by presiding officer Edward M. Hulme of Idaho University and praised for its solid preparation by Professor Haymen. About 90 students attended, then most crowds stopped at Payette for a baseball game whose result was not yet known at press time.
