Farm expert plan to aid Canyon County farms outlined
Tuesday evening a state university extension official presented a plan to hire a country farm expert to aid Canyon County farmers. Funding would total about 2000 dollars plus 1000 dollars from the North American Grain Exchange and additional university support. Excellent progress in the building of thirty miles of power line from Swan Falls plant to Gem irrigation district pumping station. Completion and readiness for use by May 1 is specified in the contract. Holes for poles finished along the entire span, with two or three carloads of tea for the ground and construction work underway. Two carloads of electrical equipment transformers and switchgear for the substation are in the interurban depot, being unloaded all day.
