Clarence Hill won the second annual oratorical contest held by the Academic department at the College of Idaho. The event featured speakers including Edgar Oakes, R H Davis, William Oakes, Edwin Newman, Volney Carringer, James Boone, Robert McCormick, and George Runciman. Hill received $10 in gold and will represent the college in the state interscholastic contest in Pocatello on April 30. The Girls' Glee Club provided music. Hill lives on the Roswell bench where his father owns a ranch.
