Fairmont Mind Sept. An offer to sell oats at production cost was made here today by farmer Mr. Os kerson after reading W W Adams selling corn and oats at cost. Oats bring about 1 cent here, his crop valued at 410.75 dollars excluding labor with 7 643 bushels.

Two youths accused of hold up near Lalifoure North Dakota faced charges after a patrol chase. The incident occurred as Curly Montickard and others reported the attempted robbery in LaMoure County during September.
Early today masked men entered the State Bank of Revere Grigga county by forcing a window and detonating a safe with nitroglycerin They fled east by auto leaving a car seen as late as 230 a m The blast damaged windows and furniture but no money was recovered and no suspects were found
Mohall North Dakota September 8 Dodge aged 48 was taken into custody by Sheriff Mcwechnie after alighting from a freight train. He is wanted in Ashland Junction Wisconsin for the murder of a girl eleven years ago. He confessed his identity and provided a written confession detailing jealousy and the shooting on a camp wagon. Dodge fled after abandoning the wagon and was at large for days before escaping into northern timber. He had worked in harvest fields near Moball and wrote to a sister before moving toward Wisconsin with accompanying officers. The case draws praise for sheriff vigilance.
In Harvey a gunman riding the Soo railway tender opened fire on Special Agent Davis, wounding three bullets before Davis returned fire and mortally wounded the assailant. The dying gunman declined to give his name. Minot police detained 81 transients and four laborers after a wave of robberies including two gunmen holding up workers near Donnybrook. A laborer, George Reynolds, found with a fractured leg and robbed by two colored men, was hospitalized. Suspects including I W W organizer Frank Haverham and others were held on concealed weapons and suspected involvement in related crimes.
Minot North Dakota September 8 state prohibition agents F L Wat kine and F C Upton seized a carload of 800 cases of whiskey at Portal. The car was moving over the Boo railway without proper papers from federal prohibition officials and is held by United States customs pending disposition. State officers say the cargo was shipping to British Columbia but sidetracked near the border and hauled back by whiskey runners.
