Chas. Irwin, a prominent Bowbells area farmer east of the lake, died Wednesday morning by self inflicted hanging in a barn stall. His daughter Mildred found the body after calling him for dinner. Sheriff Drinkwater, States Attorney Hanson, and County Coroner Grogan investigated. no inquest was held. Irwin had suffered despondency and health issues but was reportedly financially better off. his wife and several children survive.

Burke Pioneer Gust Albertson Dies After Short Illness
Gust Albertson of Burke died Tuesday morning at Koomare hospital after a brief illness that included pneumonia and suspected appendicitis. He was 50, born in Sweden, lived in Roseland Township before settling in Burke County 23 years ago with his wife Jennifer Anderson. Survived by wife and six children Agnes, Clarence, Walter, Helen, Edith, and Marie, with extended family in Minnesota. His body was to be taken to Kenmare for burial services.
