Matrimonial train brings results at Fort Berthold

Oscar Olson brother of J C Norlin of thiawaty recently enlisted in the aviation corps of the United States Army. He visited from Ambrons last Monday evening to spend a day with his brother and parents west of town before leaving for Minot for instructions and transportation to his training station. He passed a stringent physical exam at Minot with perfect score and expects another exam in Minneapolis before final assignment. Olson shows notable mechanical ability and long held ambition to fly. Prairie chicken shipment case ends in court action
In Bismarck on May 24 a prairie chicken shipped from Mandan to Chicago in 1914 cost C. H. Burtts $1 plus court costs. Burtts, crippled and walking on his hands, pleaded guilty through his counsel. Attorney General William S. Langer contended the bird was shipped by another party using his name.

Alexander Papelpu, a Stark County farmer and American citizen from Dickinson North Dakota, travels home after captivity in Austria. He had returned to Russia two years earlier to settle a large estate, was captured by Austrians, and held for months with his wife unaware of his fate. J. G. Teen driver seriously injured in East Velva crash
Velva North Dakota May 24 Claud Runyon son of Mr and Mrs Adam Runyon was seriously injured last week when the car he was driving turned turtle east of town. He lost control traveling at a fast clip and the windshield frame tore through his leg severing an artery. Clyde Meyer 16 in the car lifted the car off a comrade and gave first aid.
