The Bowbells district court adjourned after disposing of all on the calendar Judge Leighton set Minot term to begin Monday The Gedosch vs White verdict for the plaintiff totaled 28 dollars in a case appealed from justice court A not guilty verdict was returned for Geo Gardner and John Swanson in a hillside assault case The Jensen grand larceny case ended with a not guilty verdict The Joe Biguin vs Rosenwater case was decided by default with plans to appeal Neil Anderson was found not guilty in a rape trial Black won against Frandell in a injuries suit J O Clark versus J L Dimond ended with 46 dollars verdict for Dimond Judge Leighton adjourned jurors and heard the Schaefer divorce action in which Hilda Schaefer was granted the divorce.

Fargo dispatch reports three men attempted a Wimbledon North Dakota robbery at Joes Mercantile Co. One was captured as the others fled after a rear fire set to draw attention. The loaded officer’s revolver misfired. the captured suspect faced Valley City court later. Also noted is the Bowbells racket store closing after a short operation.

Farmers Co Operative Grain Company Holds Annual Meeting

The Lyons opera house hosted the annual meeting with about thirty members present. Members debated continuing the company, voting to hold on while some favored re-incorporation later. Officers and directors were re-elected, by laws adopted, a August meeting time set, and local notices covered births illnesses a car engine addition and a church address. The Bowbells baseball team lost at home to Columbus 13 to 11, then beat Estevan 10 to 0 and 4 to 0 in two games.
