Quarrel With Wife Triggers Man’s Suicide in Minot
James Landry a 28 year old Great Northern brakeman, killed himself in his room after a domestic dispute with his wife. He had moved to Minot about a year ago and left a letter to his wife before firing a 12 gauge Winchester through his heart. Neighbors heard shots. police opened the door to find him dead.

Federal court dismisses North Dakota rate suit
In Fargo federal court Judge C F Amidon dismissed North Dakota's suit against Postmaster General Burleson and telephone lines director general seeking to restrain rate increases. The judge ruled the court lacks jurisdiction over a federal official not a resident of the state and that the case could be brought in state courts. Suicide of Homesteader James Adams in North Dakota
Dickinson North Dakota February 20 James Adams an early homesteader in Loup County killed himself with a shotgun in the kitchen after waking at his usual hour. He placed a coat over his head and fired the weapon against his forehead, a tragedy not discovered by family until sometime later. The family had settled on their homestead about 12 years ago, 15 miles northeast of Marmarth.
