Youthied Bride Celebrations Marred by Accident
In Dickinson North Dakota on February 4, 17 year old Joseph Kovash was accidentally shot in the head at Frank Kostelecky’s home during a wedding celebration. A blank cartridge misfire from a six shooter caused a wad to strike Kovash in the forehead. his left eye was burned by powder, and he was taken to St Joseph’s hospital where he is reported to be improving.

Child Injured By Dynamite Cap Explosion
In Rhame North Dakota on February 4 a ten year old boy, son of Mr and Mrs Chris Mosbrucker, was badly hurt after placing a dynamite cap on a stove. The blast damaged his eye and hand, with shard injuries to his hand. Dr Ewbank could do little for the eye and the boy was taken to Dickinson for further care.

Masked men rob Great Northern hotel in Minot
A masked man entered the Great Northern hotel office at 3:30 a.m. and forced night clerk Michael McDougal to open the till. He stole about 83 or 84 dollars, mostly McDougal's own money, then fled after disconnecting the telephone wires. No other valuables were taken and no suspect is yet found. In Ward county investigations into public school office finances continue amid allegations of excess mileage fees and excessive expenditures. Prisoner Jumps From Moving Train While in Custody
Minot North Dakota February 5 Roy Hanon a claimed 16 year old from Aneta attempted to escape while being taken to Williston jail after detention for forgery. He leapt from a moving Great Northern train but was recaptured by Deputy Sheriff Corrigan of Stanley and later returned to Williston custody. Clyde Hartman from Ambrose arrived to work on a claim southwest of Ambrose and planned to start work next week.
