Grow family suffer extreme cold in Makoti farm fire
Mra Clarenés Grow and her five children endured severe agony when the Nola Holman farm house north of Makoti caught fire on a cold Sunday. They escaped in night clothes into freezing snow, with one child retrieving a mattress for help. Two older children ran to a neighbor as limbs were severely frostbitten and possible amputation loomed. Their parents sought medical aid.

Townley, head of the National Nonpartisan League, will not be brought to Fargo to answer embezzlement charges. After releasing from Jackson Minnesota jail, he traveled by auto to St Paul for a week. His attorneys arranged that he may return to Fargo on his own recognizance next Monday for the preliminary hearing. Mrs Townley remains in St Paul to meet him.

Lyceum Event At High School Auditorium
