Farmer dies in tip-over accident near Beach North Dakota
Martin Muller aged 63, longtime rancher near Beach, North Dakota, died after a wooden tusd tipped over during a fuel gathering trip in the bad lands. A local physician said death appeared instantaneous. Muller, who operated his own ranch 15 years and previously worked for others, is survived by a wife and five children.
Santa Left Baby On Doorstep In Freezing Night
In Bismarck North Dakota on December 28 George Will found a three weeks old baby boy in an apple box on his doorstep. He notified police and later Helen Ward of Hebron was taken into custody claiming she abandoned the child due to unable to support it. She says her husband died six months ago and her sister helped place the baby at Will's door before they fled.

Terrible Accident at Thos Thompson Home Burns and deaths follow
A Thursday explosion in the Thompson kitchen near Bowbells severely burned three children and left nine year old Elnora dead next morning. Soren Thompson, 22, acted bravely, smothering flames on clothes and carrying kids to safety. Albert four, and a two year old girl suffered serious burns while the youngest endured minor injuries. Fire and Grotene cause sudden death in rural North Dakota
Jaineetown, N D December 28. Hamil F Wicke, a well known farmer seven and a half miles southwest of Kidridge in Stutyman county, was killed instantly early Sunday while thawing a cap on a metal gasoline barrel with a blow torch. The cap exploded, blowing the head from the lower jaw up. Body burned and gasoline soaked, found 16 to 18 feet from the tank. Widow, a five month old baby survive as she walked one and a half miles to summon neighbors.
