Robbed Canadian Youth Loses $150 in Willow City

A 19 year old farmer enroute from Canada to Willow City was robbed in broad daylight near Judge Murray's home. He met two men at the G N depot. One Englishman and a short man tricked him, they took his pocketbook and fled. The youth has only a dollar left and police hunt the suspects.

Peoples Sentenced to Life in Minot Murder Case

Claude Peoples was sentenced to life in the state penitentiary after being found guilty of first degree murder by a district court jury in Minot North Dakota. A motion for a new trial is pending. Ed Golden, linked to the near east side shooting at a Negro dance, was arraigned for first degree murder and pleaded not guilty, with trial set for the next district court term.

Narrow escape as baby clings to river edge

In Minot North Dakota on December 7 a three and a half year old baby nearly drowned in the Mouase river. J B Trottoli found the child clinging to the edge with its head under water and pulled it to safety. The rescued infant belonged to Mr and Mrs Baward Labels Trottoli.

Minot youths arrested for auto theft

Three boys John H Jacques 14 Thomas Maupin 12 and Peter Bhutlin 16 were taken from their homes by police on auto theft charges. Officials said two Fords were stolen Sunday night from addresses in Minot. Bhutlin admitted involvement and provided details of the gang.
