Grand Forks N D April 27 Mary Olson a girl of years old living in the Brunswick hotel narrowly escaped death when she jumped from the Schla bear building steps onto a raft on the flooded Red River. Two unnamed boys rescued her from the swift current after her failed attempt to save herself. Bystanders on the DeMers avenue bridge watched as the improvised raft drifted away. The girl sought excitement after watching a Hoycat game from the steps near the river. She received prompt aid to restore her chilled condition. The Red River gauge stood near thirty five and a half feet with the crest believed passed or imminent as weather bureau forecasts predicted.

Black and White Men Fatal Knife Incident in Prairie City
In Bismarck on April 27 Frank Allen, a Black man, and Frank Allen, a White man, fought over an express parcel. The Black man drew a knife and stabbed the White man in the abdomen, likely fatally. Mr Kirk of Northern Express company restrained them with a revolver, stopping the deadly clash. The wounded man sought treatment at Dr. Boim’s office after the attack.

Two Drownings In Red River Near Drayton
Drayton North Dakota April 27. Harry Emanuelson a farmer from Robin Minnesota and Arthur Gilmore a farm hand drowned when their rowboat capsized in the swollen Red River while crossing to the Minnesota side. Johnson a Robin farmer survived with Gilmore later found. Ray Olson of Drayton aided. Emanuelson had lived near Robin. Gilmore was English descent.

McPherson, a former employee of The McClusky Gazette, admitted forging two blank checks from the paper. Wolford North Dakota April 27. Buried in sand and mud the Callion of Mia Myrtle Saykally and her eight year old son were recovered from Charbonneau creek about one mile below the crossing point. They were drowned and believed to have died clasped in each other’s arms. The bodies were found together.

Minot North Dakota April 27 John C Youngskin a 3rd year man and long time resident of Minot was struck and killed by Soo Line Train No 104 near Valley Street crossing east of Walker's greenhouse.
