Tractor Engine Incident Injures Cecil Picket At Fl at Car

Mor ris Granfor, five miles southeast of Killdeer North Dakota, shot himself with a 38 55 rifle at the home of Martin Gilbertson while preparing to hunt rabbits. The bullet entered the left breast and exited above the shoulder blade, passing through the lungs. He remained conscious and was rushed to the city for medical care. recovery hoped despite serious injuries.

Tractor tipped off the platform in Tolley accident
Alfred Benson a young Tolley man died after unloading a tractor from a flat car onto a platform. The engine could not be stopped and the tractor tipped over the edge, somersaulted, and fell onto him fracturing his skull. He died about six hours later.

Obituary: Mrs John H Ruffarth Dies After Long Illness
Mrs Ruffarth a long time resident near the city died at her Kenmare home last Monday evening after months of illness. Born January 15 1842 in Delmenhorst Germany she married John W Auffarth in 1864. Nine children were born five survive Fred Will Henry Auffarth and Mrs Chua Rogers of here and Mrs Bertha Brown of Brigton Jaws. Survived by a daughter in law Katherine Zeimer Ellsworth Minn and husband. Family came to the United States in 1894 homesteaded near Bowbells then moved to Kenmare last year. She was 74 years old. Funeral services were held at the Auffarth residence in Kenmare and at the M B church in Bowbells with Pastor A H Beer officiating. Interment followed in the Bowbells cemetery.
