Pat Rooney Burned To Death In Shack Explosion
Pat Rooney of Flaxton and brother of Frank Rooney died after a gasoline stove exploded in his shack last Friday afternoon. Coroner ruled an inquest unnecessary. body sent to Alexandria Minnesota for burial with relatives. Rooney had lived near Flaxton for about two years after filing a homestead claim and worked farming on the land.

Bowbells Fire Destroys Pool Hall and Adjacent Buildings

Bowbells Burke North Dakota held a two session council meeting with Mayor elect Smith sworn in for two years and aldermen Richardson Heath Hartman Hinds Woods sworn in for their wards. The board planned a joint meeting with Bowbells Township on the dumping ground matter and named Richardson President and Heath Vice President of the council.
