Regent North Dakota April 15 With the passing of Frank James a few weeks ago and the dying condition of Cole Younger comes the death of Ole Rokke known as the Big Norwegian who died at Regent on Saturday morning He lived in western North Dakota for years and earlier worked on a Gladstone ranch He cared for horses and helped cook for the James and Younger outlaws He was never captured and avoided authorities After the James gang was captured he drifted to the bad lands west of the Missouri river and later worked as a sheep herder He drifted through towns when alcohol was available and rumors of his outlaw past leaked out He left relatives in southern Minnesota and has been interred temporarily in Regent The body is to be disposed of by his Minnesota relatives He was said to have about 1500 in his clothes when the undertaker was called He had been drinking heavily the past two weeks and the direct cause of death was acute alcohol poisoning He was over sixty years old and the item ends with an advertisement for Emma Johnson millinery parlors offering spring hats.
