Last Friday night Bowbells High School hosted the first Annual Phelps Song Contest. Freshmen won the top vocal solo awards by Cecil Bryan and Freeda Migge, while Junior and Sophomore entries also scored high in patriotic songs, original compositions, instrumentals, and yells. The Howards from Minot impressed with violin and piano accompaniment, drawing strong applause and hopes for future appearances.
