H. J. Rugge of Tagus North Dakota purchased the Blenkner Mercantile Co grocery stock in Bowbells and leased the Blenkner building for years. He plans June 1 take over groceries and expand to general merchandise. Blenkner store, oldest in Bowbells, survived fire in 1907 and shifting family leadership, with sale delayed by poor crops.

Young Man Killed by Accidental Gun Discharge in Grand Forks
Grand Forks North Dakota April 1 C R Busbow aged 21 won shot and instantly killed by the accidental discharge of a gun. The victim had just returned from a handy trip and was attempting to extract a shell when the accident occurred. The bullet entered the right side below the collarbone and he was dead when a brother reached his aide.
