Trains Collide at Rugby injuring crew and stockmen
A Great Northern fast mail crashed into a stock train in Rugby at 2:40 AM. Thirteen aboard were hurt, two fatally. caboose and horses were destroyed, wrecking the line until mid afternoon. Injured include E. M. Long and Jeffries. both engineers escaped. Local notes mention Gardena progress and a brush fire damaging haystacks nearby.

Death of Miss Dora Bell
Miss Dora Bell died of Brights disease after a three week illness on Monday. Funeral at St. Mark's Catholic Church was led by Fathers Turcotte and Eagleston with a large attendance. Interment followed in Oak Creek cemetery. Dora Bell daughter of William and Eliza Bell, born February 4, 1886, grew up locally, worked for the Northern Telephone, Bowen Adams, and studied in Minneapolis and St Paul. She served as stenographer for Judge John Carmody before moving to Bismarck after her brother's death. Survived by her mother and two brothers William and George. her father died in 1902 and brother John in July.

Special election to issue refunding bonds
A special election is planned for Monday November 20 to authorize issuing $14,000 in refunding bonds to retire city warrants drawing 7 percent interest. The bonds will lower debt cost, pay at par, and draw 4 percent interest, not increasing total indebtedness. Westhope and Lansford recently used this method to save money.
