At a Bottineau Commercial Club meeting the Yankee Robinson Circuit booked for Bottineau on July 4 was made an order of business. A resolution requests the Bottineau City Council to revoke the license of the Yankee Robinson Circuit and to sue to carry out the action with the secretary notifying the council.
Master Robert Burr of Rugby, son of Judge A G Burr, started a planned 150 mile walk from his home. He reached Devils Lake on Thursday and Friday, then boarded a train to Grand Forks Saturday morning. He is visiting Mr and Mrs Chas Allen at 521 South Fourth Street.
Notice states Bottineau Co operative Publishing Company stockholders meet at Bottineau court house hall on Saturday July 14 1917 at 2 PM to elect officers and conduct other business. Secretary Thos Hennessy urges all first stockholders to attend.
The Old Settlers Picnic at Dana Grove on Tuesday drew many pioneers who shared reminiscences of Bottineau county's early days. An afternoon baseball game between two picked teams raised funds for the Red Cross Society.
The Yankee Robinson three ring circus boasts over five hundred horses and ponies including the finest dapple grays and blacks. It promises a sensational display of wild animals and will exhibit at Bot-Hneau Wi on July 4th.

Williams, marking Bottineau county’s first such church use.

The Lutheran Churches announce English services at Bottineau with Sunday School at 10 a m. Mangere Confirmation class meets in the church on Tuesday July 3 at 10. Y P Society gathers next Sunday at 8. A sale near P A Han pesmis in Dewey on July with hay auction and lunch served. School begins Monday July 2.
Walter C. Gran, a 2 Bottineau county native and renowned dramatic reader, will perform at the Grand on Friday evening July 6 for Red Cross fund raising. Blind since youth, he has built a public life of elocution and uses his talent to aid war relief, donating all proceeds to the Red Cross with strong local support. Red Cross Committee.
H L Maunder, chairman of Publicity Committee, calls for nationwide support to the Red Cross by volunteers and donors. He urges Americans to donate half of their 10000 dollar incomes, stressing home patriotism as essential to aid France Russia England and the Allied war effort.
A Bottineau fishing party led by George Mennie hauled two sixteen pound muskellunge from Long Lake last night, the first of the species spotted there in years. The fish measured three feet and was described as an exceptional specimen. The lake is noted to be teeming with muskies, with claims of a much larger catch by the fishermen.

Senate Bill No 18 sets new recording rules for mortgages and assignments requiring full debtor and creditor details including post office addresses and debt amounts and interest. It also mandates tax clearance for foreign estates before recording satisfactions or assignments, effective July 1 1917 as announced by North Dakota Register of Deeds Jan Quamma.
At the fair grounds park locals lost the opener to Willow City 10 to 2 in a game chalked up as a ball match. Willow City piled twelve hits and struck out seven, while locals managed four safeties and committed errors that hampered their scoring efforts.
