William Stewart Dies After Stroke At Bottineau
Squire William Stewart aged eighty four, a Bottineau county pioneer and Farmers Elevator president, died Monday night after a Saturday meeting. Born November 8, 1826 in Breadalbane Ontario, he moved to Bottineau in 1883 with his sons Duncan and Alex. Survived by wife, three sons, three daughters, thirty grandchildren, funeral Friday at the opera house conducted by Rev. H. Shaw. Burial Oak Creek.

Season Opens at Lake Metigoshe 1910
The formal opening of the season at Lake Metigoshe was a success with ideal weather and a large attendance. More than 250 dinners were served at the cafe Sunday as visitors arrived from distant places, and there were more automobiles at the lake than ever before. The Bottineau Military band provided music.

The first annual commencement of the North Dakota School of Forestry will be held this Thursday evening at Greiner's opera house. J. H Worst of Fargo will deliver the address as president of the state agricultural college. Five graduates make up the class of 1910 Harold W. Bervig Ethel Beyer Francis Scully Guy William Smith and Leonore Woodward. Bervig and Woodward were Bottineau high school alumni from 1908. The baccalaureate sermon Sunday was by Rev. C. E. Vermilya, Minot district M E church. The assembly hall was crowded. many locals could not gain admittance. The year ends with early examinations and the fall term opens September 19.
