Memorial Day Observed in Bottineau Amid Ceremonies
Memorial day observances took place on Saturday in Bottineau with a campus program at Central School and a cemetery service at Oak Creek. E C Bowen delivered the keynote remarks before a large crowd as the Bottineau Military band played patriotic tunes and Central School pupils sang old war songs. Veterans W R Snyder J E Jenks and Mr Hubbard of Civil War era and G G Krein of the Spanish American War attended. John H Kirk spoke at the cemetery and outlined lives of the veterans buried there noting omissions of W B Flannery and George Gardner from the list. Additional graves at nearby cemetery honored Civil War veterans J Britton James Flew ming Jacob O Mexineri zrdner Pugh F F Yoat A J Hart Simon D Trent. The graveside services were moving. Later drivers escorted by autos carried citizens and teachers to Tareus to decorate the Lemay graves.

Bakke Hosts Bible Class and Luther League Evening

The west side silo froze about fourteen inches while the hollow clay block silo froze eleven inches. No hay or straw was used. Silage heaped in the middle froze less than along the outer wall. No unfavorable acidity. cows ate eagerly. Feeding continued until June with ten years of safe use.
