Eighteen Horses Die in West Hope Fire
A blaze at West Hope Monday destroyed Burne & Sharrey's livery stable and a carriage repair shop owned by H N Wekseth of Bottineau. Eighteen horses perished, and total losses may reach 7500 dollars as embers swept the town. The bucket brigade fought the fire, halting further spread despite a gale.
