Monday night fire at the Belcourt Sisters of Mercy school damaged the west wing bakery and furniture. Built in 1884 87 the convent cost about 12000 yearly to operate. Insurance covered 12000 on the building and 4000 on furniture, leaving a probable total loss near 20000 with rebuild estimated at 25000.
A North Dakota club formed by congressional and department employees and others from the state meets in Washington. Major J G Hamilton serves as president with C A Lounsberry as secretary and W A Kelly as treasurer. Directors include Theodore Elton E G Elston Laurin Nelson and others. Senator Hansbrough arrives from a ten day North Dakota tour saying his bid for reelection is in good shape and he expects the delegation to back him barring a Roosevelt run.
