Howard R. Wood of Deering was elected speaker with 103 votes, nine abstentions, and one absence. A. E. Bowen was chosen chief clerk, W. D. Austin and Ed. F. Wood assistants. Does Poultry Pay The Bottineau bank reports poultry sales
The First National Bank of Bottineau notes James M. Miller sold seven turkeys and six chickens for a net of $29.10. The seven turkeys weighed 109 lbs at 26 cents per pound, producing $31.85 gross. Excess charges of 75 cents were deducted, yielding the stated net proceeds of $29.10.

Mohall Store Building Destroyed by Fire
The Rudolph Walstad store in Mohall was completely destroyed by a morning fire, began from a rear stove, and left the landmark building reduced to ashes. The blaze, reported around four, prevented saving the interior though firefighters confined it to the structure. Built in 1902 by John Windolph, the second Mohall store stood at the site before Walstad acquired it.

Mrs Foster Dies in Winfield Kansas at 69
Mrs B F Foster of Whitby township died at her daughter Mrs F E Mossman home in Winfield Kansas at ten o clock Saturday after battling rheumatism.
